The Pacific Art Foundation is a non-profit corporation that assembles a permanent collection of American artwork, including paintings, sculpture and works on paper by California artists. The collection is maintained and stored at The Pacific Club, Newport Beach, California. The collection is available for public viewing, by invitation and for scholarly research and loans to other artistic institutions. The foundation was established in 1994 by the late Gerald Buck and Geoffrey Le Plastrier. The Foundation promotes continued art education in the community through an ongoing series of Art Forums which are open to the public. It is also actively involved in promoting new and emerging art through its annual scholarship program to art students. == Collection ==
The Foundation’s collection focus is on American art of the 19th, 20th and 21st Centuries. The major focus is on the works of contemporary California artists. The collection is currently composed of 50 pieces from various artists.
